A Homemade Toy

If I could spend as much time as possible out of the House with the kids. I like fresh air, open spaces and dynamic activities. But it is not always possible. By several factors-the weather (it’s ending the summer:() to security-we end up getting more indoors anyway. Research published last year, is made with countries around the world, including Brazil, showed that our children are less than 2 hours a day outdoors.

So, I like both of the posts by Thursday, fortnightly bring a new suggestion of playing outside. Today’s tip is a homemade toy to enjoy the outdoors, but also encourages the coordination of older children, with 5, 6, 7 and 8 years or more. But still need this at this age? Yes! The stimulus of fine motor skills (pincer movement, for example), the coordination of arm and hands and the relationship of space, for example, are important to the practice of sports, which begins more firmly from the 7 years.

The toy to which I refer is the boomerang or boomerang. Yes, that little toy, Australian source. In fact, originally the boomerang is a shotgun. But this is another story. What I want to tell you is how I enjoyed horrors with the kids playing throw the boomerang.

To make the boomerang you’ll need:

-Cardboard or paper card pretty hard
-Scissors
-Glue
-Mold of Boomerang

The templates we’ve made for you, based on what I learned in the Manual in the world. Just download one of these two PDFs: for righties and lefties. You’ll see that there’s a difference.

Cut out the template and paste it into the cardboard.

Then, cut out the cardboard very close to the mark.

You will notice in the template there is a dotted tabs and a court. With scissors, cut the mark and fold the dotted tab.

Ready your Boomerang! But the secret of joke is the way to play it. It’s harder than it looks, so don’t be discouraged if the first couple of times they fail. You need to hold in one of the “wings” of the boomerang with the thumb and forefinger pincer-shaped.

And throw the boomerang by moving the handle, and not the whole arm. The more children they do an angle up, the better it will be for the flight of the boomerang. Remembering that he back in your direction.

Of course, the kids had a little trouble at first and no one (not I) the game’s ACE in the boomerang. But, as we always say in the Tempojunto, what counts is the play and not necessarily the “result” of the joke. Look at these sequences of pictures and tell me if we didn’t enjoyed too much!

And I had even more trying to photograph the boomerang in the air work for professionals, see? Just for a laugh, take a look at my attempts:

Did you see something? Yes or me lol. These were almost here, check it out:

Nice try, but you guys at home can see much better the Boomerangs of you lol. Just a caution: even though, explain to your child that you don’t have to go running behind the boomerang, so nobody gets hurt, when he turns the course of flight and back in the direction of those who launched it, okay?

Follow the Tempojunto and this way you will always see a new tip from joke to do with their children, either within or outside of the House, rain or shine, if you have 2 hours or 15 minutes to play. And part of the group that receives our free Newsletter, you receive all the information, jokes and news by email, every week.
