SK Telecom Launches The Galaxy S5 in Korea of The South without The Consent of Samsung

It is usually the data which is omitted in most presentations, although Samsung at the Mobile World Congress did not keep the date of availability of their new devices, with the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the head that It is set for April 11 in a global launch.

In this release it is involved more than 150 countries, where in a staggered fashion that date would start sales of the fifth generation of the Galaxy S, starting with his native country of South Korea.

However, the landscape has changed dramatically because of the movement of SK Telecom, and is that the South Korean operator has just started the distribution of the S5 Galaxy to a price change of 590 euros.

The curious thing about the news is not knowing that some operators already have real stock of the device, nor that SK Telecom has decided to begin selling early way, thing This is apparently due to a sanction of the South Korean Government prevents operators in the Asian country make new high during the months of April and may.

The funny thing is actually not even Samsung had learned the news, and of course manufacturer not had authorized the operator to advance the launch, so we already have soap opera confirmed by an officer of the own SK Telecom:

We simply wanted to offer the device to our local users as soon as possible. This is for the sake of our customers.

Furthermore, Samsung has already indicated in an official statement It regrets the unilateral decision by SK Telecom, and are the relevant processes that have started to clarify the facts. We’ll see if the story ends in the courts or stays in a simple reprimand.
